We’ve been made aware of a scam where fraudsters are calling customers claiming to be from our Fraud Department. These scammers are using convincing tactics and asking for sensitive information like:
🔒 Debit card number
🔒 CVV and PIN
🔒 Social Security number
🔒 Online banking security questions
🔒 A texted code (used to add cards to mobile wallets)
🚫 Do not provide this information over the phone. Peoples Bank will never ask for your full debit card number, PIN, or a texted verification code.
☎️ If you receive a suspicious call, especially from numbers you don’t recognize or a toll-free number, hang up and call your local branch directly.
