Fraud Department Phone Scam

Posted: April 7, 2026

Weโ€™ve been made aware of a scam where fraudsters are calling customers claiming to be from our Fraud Department. These scammers are using convincing tactics and asking for sensitive information like:

๐Ÿ”’ Debit card number

๐Ÿ”’ CVV and PIN

๐Ÿ”’ Social Security number

๐Ÿ”’ Online banking security questions

๐Ÿ”’ A texted code (used to add cards to mobile wallets)

๐Ÿšซ Do not provide this information over the phone. Peoples Bank will never ask for your full debit card number, PIN, or a texted verification code.

โ˜Ž๏ธ If you receive a suspicious call, especially from numbers you donโ€™t recognize or a toll-free number, hang up and call your local branch directly.

We are your bank for good, and your safety is our top priority.
