When the community calls, Peoples Bank responds. Each year, we help sponsor hundreds of community events, projects, and celebrations in communities throughout Warren, Marion, Lucas, Wayne, and Appanoose Counties.

While we’d love to be able to fund every request, that’s not always possible. We stretch our dollars to meet the needs of our communities.

    Financial Education

Our fraud specialists and financial professionals are passionate about equipping individuals, businesses, students, and community groups with practical tools they can use every day. From scam awareness and identity theft prevention to budgeting, saving, and financial wellness, our presentations are designed to inform, empower, and protect.

Each year, we provide educational sessions throughout Warren, Marion, Lucas, and Wayne Counties.

If your organization, classroom, or event is looking for a knowledgeable and engaging speaker, we invite you to submit a speaker request.

While availability may vary, we are committed to strengthening the financial well-being of the communities we serve.

Two winners will be selected from each age group: 4th–8th grade and 9th–12th grade. Funds may be used to purchase livestock or cover related expenses such as feed, supplies, and veterinary care. All applications are reviewed and scored anonymously to ensure a fair selection process. Applications will open August 1 and close on October 15, with winners announced on October 31. What our community says:

"Our family has chosen People's because of the wonderful relationships we have made through the years!  They know us, and we know that we can reach out to them whenever we need them.  Because of these relationships, we don't have to start from scratch with every interaction.  They are just a call, email, or a pop-in away!  All of the People's employees are helpful, friendly, and prompt!  Thank you People's!"

"I chose to work with Peoples Bank for several reasons; I appreciate their knowledge and expertise and especially the fact they are community based. Their rates are competitive however it's really the people that make a difference; the staff is personable and friendly. Janie has been wonderful to work with, she took the stress out of the loan process, making it easy and guided me through each step. Thank you for being there to help!"

"Service you expect from people you trust feels somehow insufficient. Alysha has consistently exceeded my expectations!  I knew she had a lot of energy – she seems to be everywhere in this community, always reaching out, always finding ways to connect and serve others.  But I didn’t expect that she’d go to bat for me when we hit an unexpected snag.  I didn’t expect her to be so attentive about setting up workarounds while we waited for information to come from sources I didn’t control.  I didn’t expect her to go above and beyond to put my mind at ease with things I simply didn’t understand – so I could focus on the business of running my business.  I am so grateful to have Alysha Martin and the team at Peoples Bank in my corner.  She is one of the people I trust!"

"Deb and I have banked with Peoples Bank for over 20 years. We have both personal and business accounts at Peoples. Kevin Halterman and Pat O’Meara have always treated us like a partner. The Peoples team makes sure every transaction is smooth and the service is exceptional. We also love that Peoples shares our commitment to the community. I highly recommend Peoples Bank."

"The experience with Peoples Bank is nothing short of wonderful. You walk in and they call you by name, with top notch service. Always willing to help!"

"I’ve been working with Nicole now over 10 years. From the early days of my farming career and through the unexpected times and growing pains of it, she’s always worked hard to meet the needs of my wife and I’s farming / cattle operation to keep it going. She’s not afraid to ask me hard questions. While uncomfortable at times, it keeps me grounded and focused and I know that when we develop a clear plan together, she’s got our back and her and her team will do what they can to make sure the financial side is running as smooth as possible, so we can focus on making our farm run as smooth and successful as possible."
